| This episode of the Anderson Tapes is dedicated the music and artistry of saxophonist, composer, painter and choreographer Oliver Lake, who received the Mellon Jazz Living Legacy Award last year. My first encounter with Lake's music were his Arista-Novus releases, the seminal late 70s Wildflowers series, and his work as a founding member of the World Saxophone Quartet. Lake's restless creativity has led to contributions across many musical styles and mediums, including dance, theater and painting. | ||
